Aya Takeshima graduated with First Class Honours from

Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London,

with a BA in Fashion Design / Knitwear.

During her studies, she moved to Paris and worked at

Maison Lemarié, the haute couture embroidery atelier under CHANEL,

where she was involved in three-dimensional embroidery design.

Immersed in an environment where tradition and innovation coexist,

she developed a deep understanding of craftsmanship

and refined her own aesthetic sensibility.

In 2016, she received CFDA+.

In 2017, she was selected as a semi-finalist for the

Hyères International Festival of Fashion & Photography,

and has since presented her work through awards and exhibitions

across Italy, the United States, France, Hong Kong, and Mexico.

After returning to Japan, she founded the design studio maison ayâme,

received the JFLF AWARD 2017.

Since 2021, she has been presenting collections under AYÂME,

and was nominated for the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix – Newcomer Award.

In 2024, she was selected for Fashion Designers Accelerator Tokyo 2024,

a designer support program by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

AYÂME embodies a modern elegance rooted in spirituality, craftsmanship,

and contemporary sensibility.

With deep respect for traditional techniques, the brand explores a refined balance

between minimal structure and romantic expression.

Its collections are defined by a quiet strength—

where softness and intensity, precision and emotion, coexist in harmony.

Rooted in spirituality, craftsmanship, and respect for materials,

her work pursues creations that resonate with the wearer’s inner radiance.
